April 2, 2009: Smith-Harmon Hires Chief Technology Officer, Increasing Technology Services
SEATTLE, April 2, 2009 -- Smith-Harmon, Inc., an email marketing strategy and creative services agency, today announced the hiring of Thomas Westcott as its Chief Technology Officer. The move comes in the wake of relaunching Smith-Harmon.com, which now includes a Resource Center and Newsroom full of exclusive research and valuable articles.

"In addition to managing our technology infrastructure and newly relaunched website, Thomas will be heading up implementation of new CRM, project management, and reporting and analytics initiatives," said Aaron Smith, Principal at Smith-Harmon. "More importantly, as head of our technology services group, he'll be developing custom software utilizing advanced algorithms to help our clients better identify, analyze and understand hidden trends within their email metrics."

Mr. Westcott was previously a senior software architect, consulting for numerous Fortune 500 companies including Qualcomm, Abbott Laboratories, Home Depot, Intuit, Pfizer, Bertelsmann AG, and Citibank. He has specialized in designing and developing large scale, complex systems involving a diverse range of technologies such as e-commerce, data warehousing and analytics. In addition, he has applied his interest in data mining, statistics and pattern recognition to the development of machine-learning artificial intelligence systems.
